“Georgette MOTT, 31, of Grange Close in Warwick. Has today, Monday 12th of February 2024, been sentenced to 29 weeks in prison for a series of offences including theft from motor vehicle, handling stolen goods and failing to provide a sample for a drugs test in custody.

 

MOTT was arrested on Saturday the 10th of February 2024 by Leamington SNT officers on the Parade in Leamington, after good work by the local CCTV operators spotting her. They were made aware by the Leamington based patrol investigation unit (PIU) that MOTT was wanted for a series of theft offences.

 

MOTTs home address was then searched by PIU officers and a large number of expensive perfumes which were suspected to be stolen were recovered from the property.

 

MOTT was interviewed on Sunday the 11th of February 2024 and denied the offence despite clear CCTV evidence of her committing the offences.

 

Due to the overwhelming evidence, MOTT was charged with 4 offences. 2 counts of theft from motor vehicle, 1 count of handling stolen goods and 1 count of failing to provide a sample for a drugs test in custody. She was remanded in police custody to appear at court today (Monday the 12th of February 2024), where she was sentenced.
