OP RESOLVE - High Visibility Foot Patrols in Nuneaton and Atherstone

Research has identified that hotspot policing can reduce crime and disorder.  Warwickshire Police have received Home Office funding under OP RESOLVE to take action in town centres, through ‘hexagons’ on maps, known as hotspots for anti-social behaviour and violent crime.

The main aim of this operation is therefore, to be highly visible and engage with the community to prevent anti-social behaviour in these key locations where we know there is crime and disorder.

Officers have conducted high visibility foot patrols on the evening of 16th July in Nuneaton and Atherstone Town Centres.

Whilst dealing with an anti social behaviour incident at Sainsburys in Nuneaton Town Centre a male involved in the incident was found to be wanted by police due to failing to appear at court. The male was subsequently arrested for fail to appear and is currently in Nuneaton Custody.
