Operation VOUCH is a planned operation targeting untaxed/non road worthy or abandoned vehicles parked within the ward.
As a Police team we receive a high volume of reports about abandoned or untaxed vehicles, in an area where parking is already sparse. This operation has been designed to identify and target offending vehicles. This operation is completed in partnership with Rugby Borough Councils Environmental Protection officers.
Our recent operation ran on 08/10/24. 100 vehicles were checked for documentation against police systems. 9 vehicles identified with document offences, these will all receive advice letters in the post. 2 vehicles seized under section 29 vehicle excise and registration act 1994.
This operation is completed on foot, come rain or shine. Come and say hello if you see us on your road.
