The number of cyclists out and about this evening without correct safety wear and lights is astonishing. We came across one certain individual this evening cycling in dark clothing, no reflective gear, no lights, no helmet, and certainly not paying attention to oncoming vehicles.

Please make sure you are visible to other road users. It's an accident waiting to happen, prevent it.

* Wear High Vis clothing

* Manage the risk in non lit areas

* Be aware of your surroundings

* Travel at a safe speed

* Have back up lights

* And lastly, please use your common sense.
