Dear Resident
A national developer has worked with Warwickshire Police to prevent anti-social behaviour in the Atherstone area by installing a gate on the public right of way.
Persimmon Homes Central is developing homes in and around the Warwickshire area and was approached by the police to request its support in installing measures that would help to prevent anti-social behaviour. The developer has since installed a staggered gate off Westwood Road, helping to mitigate any potential disruption caused by anti-social behaviour.
PC Taylor at Warwickshire Police said: “We are incredibly grateful to Persimmon Homes for their support in installing this gate. This structure will help to alleviate the potential of anti-social behaviour in the area, keeping Westwood Road and its surroundings safe for the people of Atherstone and beyond.”
Emily Berville Charlesworth, Land and Planning Manager at Persimmon Homes Central, said: “What we do is about much more than just building homes, it’s about leaving a lasting positive legacy in the communities that we build in. We’re always delighted to work with the local community to help make the areas around where we build safer.
“It’s great to see the staggered gate installed on Westwood Road which we hope will act as a preventative measure against anti-social behaviour.” North Warwickshire Borough Council | ||||
