An opportunity has arisen for South Warwickshire communities to bid for an additional CCTV camera to be installed to help deter and investigate crime. This camera will initially be temporary, with the scope to review this. It will be monitored live time and staff will have the ability to swivel the camera. 

I have sought proposed locations for a new camera from the Facilities Management Team of Studley who proposed two possible locations. To maximise our chances of being successful over competing towns or villages, I have reviewed the crime reports around those proposed locations to put forward an evidence-based justification for a new camera site. 

Today, I hosted the Manager of the Community Safety Team from Stratford District Council who is very supportive of our endeavour. On review of my findings, we identified a third possible location where a camera could perhaps be positioned, should we be successful. 

We attended all three locations together and considered the practical prospects of installing a new camera. We have agreed on one specific location and the Community Safety Team are going to make further enquires to confirm or deny if it is physically possible to install a new camera at the site.
