Over the last year working with Nuneaton & Bedworth Borough Council Bedworth West SNT have been attending quarterly multi agency meetings with various partner agencies attending. The main focus of the meetings being on tackling anti social behaviour in the Keresley End area with a particular focus on activities being introduced for young people to participate in. The meetings were arranged due to a high number of anti social behaviour reports in the Keresley End area. Through these meetings the following has been achieved: -Keresley Village Community Centre being reopened and various activities being introduced for youths to participate in -A reduction in Anti Social Behaviour around Rathbone Close and Keresley Village Community Centre through the utilisation of acceptable behaviour contracts being given to those involved and Community Resolutions being issued where criminal offences have taken place -Talks delivered at Keresley Village Community Centre to young people in regards to the dangerous use of motorbikes/scooters and knife crime -Ash Green School introducing various after school activities for pupils to participate in such as hair & Beauty and cooking with further activities being planned -Input from The Reel Rod Squad aiming to introduce and involve young people in the area to fishing.
The meetings will continue to be held to ensure that we continue to tackle anti social behaviour in the Keresley End area |
