Today, Warwick District Council, Diver Vehicle Standards Agency and Warwickshire Police conducted a fleet inspection of Hackney Carriages and Private Hire Taxis at Harbury Lane Recreation Ground to inspect the vehicles condition such as wear and tear and ensuring vehicles and driver were compliant with licensing and policies. 

Three vehicles have been taken off the road having a prohibition placed on them due to the poor conditions of their tyres and have been reported for prosecution which will result in fines and points on their driving licenses. 

Ultimately, this operation has made our roads safer for all road users and passengers of taxis.
