Tuesday  afternoon we received reports of a robbery in Bedworth, where the occupant of a vehicle had been dragged out by unknown offenders.

Following various lines of enquiry including tracking and ANPR officers from Coleshill SNT, OPU, Patrol and colleagues from West Midlands Police began closing in on the offenders.

Officers spotted the vehicle which swiftly made off, with thanks from members of the public we were directed to the stolen vehicle which was left abandoned in Balsall Common with its engine still running.

The vehicle and its belongings have been secured and recovered for a full forensic examination.
