Op Resolve patrols |
||
Dear Resident
Over the past 14 months, our officers and PCSOs have spent more than 13,000 hours carrying out dedicated Antisocial Behaviour (ASB) patrols in hotspot areas of the county as part of Operation Resolve. More than 300 of these have been carried out by PCSO Gavin Scott across Atherstone.
PCSO Scott said: “Atherstone is a fantastic area to police. It’s family-oriented and there’s a huge community spirit with events like the ball game, Summer in the Square, and Dickens Night bringing people to the town.
“Over the years, we’ve worked hard to establish great relationships with the council and other partners which mean we can, in turn, work together for the benefit of the wider community. We know street drinking and ASB have been problems in the town, but through our work as part of Op Resolve, we’ve seen a big reduction in these areas. While some challenges still remain, it’s a really positive step and we’ll continue to work with our partners to take action in the areas where antisocial behaviour is affecting the town.” | ||
