Prt2 - GOOD NEWS - Stratford

Further to my earlier message:

A man has been charged over drug offences after officers spotted him with a group of known drug users in Stratford.

Plain clothed detectives from Proactive CID spotted the group when they were on targeted drug patrol in Welcombe Hill Park yesterday (Monday 9 May) afternoon.

The man and another man were stopped and searched, and suspected heroin, cocaine and cannabis were seized.

Patrick Green, 40, of Whateley Road, Birmingham was charged with possession of heroin and cocaine with intent to supply, being concerned in the supply of heroin and cocaine, and possession of cannabis.

A 43-year-old man of no fixed abode who was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of drugs was later released under investigation while enquiries continue.

Green will appear at Coventry Magistrates’ Court today.
