OP Sceptre - Tackling and reducing Knife Crime. |
DearResident
Today is the start of Operation Sceptre, a National week long operation dedicated to tackling and reducing Knife Crime. During this week we will be taking part in a number of activities from weapons sweeps, educational inputs to proactive targeting of problem areas and hot spots. The Warwick Central Neighbourhood Team have been conducting weapons sweeps today in local parks in Warwick as part of Op Sceptre. Sweeps like this will be taking place in numerous locations across the Warwickshire district this week to ensure no weapons have been concealed in public places and prevent their potential use in violent crime. Young people worried about knife crime can visit: https://crimestoppers-uk.org/fearless/what-is-fearless where they can find answers to any questions they have and also report information anonymously. Please report any incidents/crime to Warwickshire Police. For non-emergencies, dial 101 or visit https://www.warwickshire.police.uk and select the report tab. Always dial 999 in an emergency. If you want to make reports to your local safer neighbourhood team then please call/email Warwick Central SNT on the details below.
