HELP STOP VEHICLE CRIME
Having your car stolen or broken into can be very distressing. Here are a few simple steps you can take to keep your vehicle safe: - Always lock it - Close windows and the sun roof to prevent 'fishing' - Fit locking, anti-tamper wheel nuts to secure alloy wheels - Secure your number plates with tamper resistant screws - Don't leave any valuables on display
When in public: - Park in well-lit and busy areas - Choose your car park wisely - Secure anything fitted on the outside of your vehicle
Tool thefts from vans: - Ideally, don't leave your tools inside overnight - If you keep them in the van, make sure you mark them with your name or your companies name using paint pens and seal with lacquer spray - Consider locking cabinets in your van to secure your tools
To help prevent keyless car theft: - Use a physical barrier such as a steering lock, wheel clamp or parking post - Fit a tracking device - Keep your keys in a faraday bag - Remove any batteries from spare keys
