Checks were conducted which showed the vehicle had no insurance, no registered keeper and was “in trade”

Officers suspected the vehicle may be stolen and would subsequently fail to stop. Premptive authorisation was given and vehicle was successfully stung, resulting in all four tyres being deflated, before safely stopping. The occupants were detained and further checks carried out.
