Your Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) is a group of local police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers and PCSOs based in your area, supported by additional officers from the wider area.

We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across the county.

Hate Crime Awareness has been identified as our Q3 priority following an increase in community concerns relating to protected characteristics. With Hate Crime Awareness Week taking place during this period, it is an ideal opportunity to focus on education, engagement, and prevention. Local residents have raised concerns regarding the condition of the park, including: -Broken glass creating safety hazards -Reports of anti-social use of off-road motorcycles Issued 01 July 2026	- Increase high-visibility foot patrols within the park to deter offending and engage with park users. - Engage directly with the community to gather information and provide reassurance. - Work in partnership with local councillors and partner agencies to address environmental concerns and identify long-term solutions. - Develop and gather intelligence to identify those responsible for ASB, including off-road bike use. Burglary Dwelling: There has been a slight increase in residential burglary within the following areas: Issued 01 July 2026	- The team will continue to monitor incidents and identify patterns or peak offending times. - Conduct increased high-visibility patrols in key locations and at key times to deter offending and reassure residents. - Provide targeted crime prevention advice to local residents, focusing on home security and reducing opportunities for offenders. - Raise awareness through community engagement, social media messaging, and partner communication to highlight burglary risks and prevention measures. - Develop and gather intelligence to identify any suspects and support enforcement activity where appropriate.
